Automotive Body Repair Course Overview

The Automotive Body Repair course in Australia is about repairing the damaged parts of a vehicle. It is a skill and knowledge of restoring the broken vehicle and making it as good as new. 

Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology equips the student or enhances the already existing workers in maintaining, repairing, and manufacturing vehicles. Certificate IV in Automotive Body Repair Technology enhances the students or workers in automotive body repair. 

This course provides individuals with the knowledge about fields like panel welding, repairing, refining, assessing damaged parts, and repairing them, etc, using various techniques. 

The automotive body repair (324211) is currently on the occupation list of Australia. The skill assessment of this course is delivered through Trades Recognition Australia (TRA).

The current education requirements for automotive body repair are an AQF Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology or Certificate IV in Automotive Body Repair Technology for positive skill assessment.

Visas like the subclass 500 student visa, the temporary graduate visa 4485, skilled migration visas, training and regional sponsorship visa.

Automotive Body Repair Course: Ranges from AUD 15,000 to AUD 18,000.

Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair: Ranges from 8,000 AUD to 10,000 AUD.

Certificate IV in Automotive Body Repair: Ranges from 8,000 AUD to 12,000 AUD.
 


 

Automotive Body Repair Course Requirements for Certificate III & IV

1. The student must be 18 years of age.

2. Completed Australian Year 11 or overseas equivalent to Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair or Australian Year 12 or overseas equivalent Certificate IV.

3. The candidate must have a temporary skilled shortage, employer nomination scheme visa, skilled nominated and work regional (Provisional) visa to work there.

4. English Proficiency Language:

  • Must have an overall IELTS minimum score of 5.5 or 6.0.
  • Other proficiency tests like TOEFL or PTE are also acceptable.
  • The band score for any proficiency test should not be below 5.

5. General Requirements:

  • Academic requirements: Certificate III or IV in automotive body repair or equivalent education qualification.
  • Demonstrate English Proficiency
  • Hold a valid passport
  • Have proper documentation
